Stay Away from Indoctrination and Dogma

"As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;" (Ephesians 4:14 NASB).

When we feel mentally depressed, God can give us resilience

My friends and those who have yet to come to believe, God loves you and only wants the best for you! You are not junk---you were made for a purpose driven life!

When tragedy strikes in our life it is often hard to understand what is going on, but I remember a pastor once telling his congregation that when we go through trials in life to remember that we're going through and that you will reach the other side.

The dictionary meaning of the word Resilience means the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties.

Evangelist Rick Warren---author of "The Purpose Driven Life: What On Earth Am I Here For" has shown tremendous resilience after his 27 year old son, Matthew, decided to end his own life after a nearly lifelong battle with depression.

My condolences go out to Rick Warren and his family during this time of tragedy, and I find it incredibly refreshing that Rick Warren said that he forgives the person who illegally sold a gun to his son, the very gun that Matthew used to end his life.

Our trials and tribulations are always for the benefit of others to believe, so we never need to question God and ask, "why me, why this time or why God!" I know in my heart that Rick Warren understands and has internalized THE TRIALS OF JOB (Job 1 and 2). Warren is not faking it when he says that he forgives the person who sold his son the illegal and unregistered gun---he is instead doing what the Lord Jesus Christ taught us...

Matthew 5:44 (KJV)
44 "But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;"

A few professing Christian fundamentalists have tried to use the tragedy of Rick Warren's son's suicide to attack him over theological issues---making comments such as; "Suicide happens soon after your stupid enough to read The Purpose Driven Life.”

I am writing today to attest that The Purpose Driven Life: What On Earth Am I Here For enhanced my commitment and walk as a Christian. I will remind you that since 5 years old all I ever wanted to be was a minister, but I suffered with undiagnosed mental illness in the form of lack of sexual identity, extreme low self esteem, poor self image and depression. For almost two decades, I self medicated with alcohol---a few years here and there smoking marijuana and then a three year bout with cocaine---after having been introduced to the "white powder" while attending a Christian liberal arts college.

My first year at The King's College in Briarcliff Manor, NY, I was freshman class president, but I resigned towards the end of the year, because I felt that I was a hypocrite. I was a double major in psychology and religious education. My father was African Methodist Episcopal and my mother was Roman Catholic. On Sundays my father went to his church and my siblings, mother and I went to our Catholic church.

Growing up in our house, my parents did not promote a denomination or doctrine, except for the supremacy of the Holy Bible. As a result, I became a Christian Bible Camp counselor and worked each summer for four years during high school at the camp that I had attended since age 8 (when I accepted Christ as my personal Savior).

My life has taken all sorts of twists and turns---from right living for the Lord, to back sliding and getting caught up in the ways of this world and the things of this world---the false pride of money, property and prestige.

1 John 2:16 (KJV)

16 "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world."

After leaving my marriage of 13 years in 2008, I started the long process of recovery by first repenting to the Lord for walking away from my faith...Christ never left me, I left his side---and today I understand the love of God that He does not want robots---He wants us to choose Him.

It is time for me to tell you more about Resilience.

Since 2009, I have published several Web sites as an advocate for Fathers' Rights and evangelical Web sites such as and this Blog. All of this has not made the government happy with me and as a result I have endured several attacks upon me physically, mentally and spiritually. The government has used every measure to try and coerce me to stop writing Christian apologetics---even to the point of recently trying to restrict me from seeing my children who I have Joint Legal Custody with my ex-wife---who is the residential parent.

Like Rick Warren my children are in Crisis, because I recently found out that they have been covering up their mom's disease of alcoholism and drinking. In 2009, I took all three girls to live with me and the Department of Child Protection targeted me, because I had warned them by fax on December 24, 2008, that the children were at risk, when my wife child snatched the kids, after I had not resided in the marital home since October 16, 2008.

Around April 2009, all three of my daughters reported that my ex-wife's father had molested them. Come to find out, my ex-wife knew that her father was a child molester when she child snatched the kids and moved them from our marital home in the suburbs of Sewell, NJ to the slums of Passaic.

Nevertheless, instead of the Department of Child Protection (DCP&P) giving my daughters and ex-wife counseling, they came after me with a vengeance to cover up their negligence. With the power of God behind meI fought for my rights by publishing a Web site that was a Christian-based portal to teach dads how to fight for their fathers' rights.

You see my friend, when you are going through a storm of life, you can get out of your mental depression by reaching out to help others. I also joined F.A.C.E. (Fathers and Childrens' Equality), went to five Al-Anon meetings a week and therapy with a licensed psychologist for 2 years. Then on March 1, 2011, I walked into the rooms of Alcoholics Anonymous and focused on my own drinking problem and spiritual malady. Today, I am 2 years sober and more healthy.

Through the whole family crisis, I kept praying and helping others, and God delivered me from the hand of the corrupt Department of Child Protection that is suppose to be focused on the Best Interest of children, but is actually part of the problem of the multi-billion dollar "Cash Cow" family Court system. Don't get me wrong, the Department of Child Protection does good when the public holds them accountable, but this agency is also the government's secret weapon against activist parents.

My mother now has temporary custody of our daughters and is living in my ex-wife's home---while she re-starts the process of recovery, but DCP&P---formerly DFYS---is still harassing me and trying to retaliate against me for exposing their corruption since 2008 as it relates to our family crisis.

All of my trials in life, good experiences and teachings from mentors, training in intelligence and true world history, secular and religious education, mental health issues and good and bad associations---have been a God-given experience to prepare me for this time in my life.

Rick Warren writes in The Purpose Driven Life: What On Earth Am I Here For about the Five Fold Ministry---that God made us to 1. Worship Him. 2. Be Disciples of Christ by doing our best to imitate Jesus in every situation. 3. Fellowship with other believers. 4.  Be involved in our church with service in some capacity and 5. Have a Mission outside the church to reach the lost of the world.

When the government locked me down for over a month against my will for writing Christian apologetics in 2009, and tried to discredit me as a lunatic for publishing and, a human angel handed me my first copy of OUR DAILY BREAD and a Bible. While locked up, OUR DAILY BREAD and the Holy Bible became my counsel from the Lord.

On Saturday, March 30, 2013, the Department of Child Protection tried to split up my kids---by having me take the youngest girl who is 12, and was going to give my 19 year old stepson custody of his sisters who are 15 and 16 respectively---because my ex-wife ended up in the hospital again for alcoholic drinking. I refused to take custody, because I live in a studio apartment and am indigent. Moreover, I knew it was the government's responsibility to FINALLY get my ex-wife and our daughters mental help. Therefore, I did not show up to Court. If I had taken custody of one child, the rest would have suffered and my ex-wife probably would have killed herself for loosing the kids again.

When I read Our Daily Bread on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, I was MORE confirmed that I am doing the right thing: God has sent me simple signs since 2009 to guide my path and the Christian apologetic writing that He has me doing...

Cape Tribulation

Read: James 1:1-8

"My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience." —James 1:2-3

"On June 10, 1770, British navigator James Cook’s ship hit a reef off the northeast coast of Australia. He sailed the ship out into deeper water only to hit the reef again, and this time the collision almost sank the ship. This experience moved Cook to write in the ship’s log: “The north point [was named] Cape Tribulation because here began all our troubles.”

"Many of us have experienced a trial that has seemed to trigger a string of other trials. The loss of a job, the death of a loved one, an unwanted divorce, or a decline in health could all be part of the list."

"Even though a crisis may seem to be our “Cape Tribulation,” God is still sovereign and He most certainly is in control. It is His purpose to use tribulation to build resilience into us. James writes: “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience” (James 1:2-3). The word translated “patience” means to have staying power or the ability to endure."

"In the midst of your life-changing trial, remember that God is still at work. He wants to use your “Cape Tribulation” experience to build your character. He has promised His grace to see you through (2 Cor. 12:9)." — Dennis Fisher

"He giveth more grace when the burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength when the labors increase;
To added affliction He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials, His multiplied peace.”---Rutherford

Resilience means the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties, which reminds me of Richard Wurmbrand, who stood up to Nazi Socialism and Communism during WWII.

During the Nazi terror, Pastor Richard Wurmbrand and his wife Sabina, were repeatedly beaten and arrested. Mrs. Wurmbrand’s family perished in the mass extermination of Jews in concentration camps.

In 1944,  Pastor Wurmbrand engaged in a twofold ministry – to his own oppressed countrymen and to the Russians.

In 1945, Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand attended the "Congress of Cults" arranged by the Romanian Communist government. Wurmbrand authored the book, Tortured for Christ. In chapter 1, Wurmbrand writes:

“Once the communists came to power, they skillfully used the means of seduction toward the church…The Communists convened a Congress of all Christian bodies in our Parliament building. There were 4000 priests , pastors, and ministers of all denominations, and these men of God chose Joseph Stalin as honorary president of this congress. At the same time he was president of the World Movement of the Godless and a mass murder of Christians. One after another, bishops and pastors arose and declared that communism and Christianity are fundamentally the same and could coexist. One minister after another said words of praise toward communism and assured the new government of the loyalty of the church."

"My wife and I were present at this Congress. Sabina told me, “Richard stand up and wash away this shame from the face of Christ. They are spitting in His face.” I said to her, “If I do so, you lose your husband.” She replied, “I don’t wish to have a coward as a husband.”

--- [Richard Wurmbrand].

Richard Wurmbrand was arrested, imprisoned and tortured for years.

The U.S. and West turned their head to the atrocities in Eastern Europe during WWII---knowing that innocent women and children were being killed. Today, our government only does the right thing when the world is watching and when people GO PUBLIC and stand up for righteousness and the supremacy of God's Word.

In 1950, aware of Sabina Wurmbrand's work in the underground church, the Communists arrested her and assigned her to forced labor on the Danube Canal. Her 9-year-old son, Mihai, was left alone to live on the streets.

Thank God that my children are not on the street, but are with my mother. However, I am not going to go silently into the dark and stop writing about the fact that the New World Order took off in 1935 with F.D.R. putting the Great Seal on the back of the U.S. dollar bill, or the fact that the Vatican and Papacy are the eighth world power over the king's of the earth---known as Babylon the Great (Revelation 13, 14, 17 and chapter 18).

Most of the mental oppression that our children are experiencing today has to do a lot with outside influences and programming through the mainstream media. But once I started to re-learn the true world history that my mentors taught me, and looked into Tavistock and its first director, Sigmund Freud, who was an atheist, I understood that my mental health issues were compounded by outside influences like TV sex and violence, radio, false religions, media propaganda, legalized drugs like alcohol and psychiatric drugs---that keep people mentally sick.

Resilience means the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties, and once you dedicate your life to Christ, instead of manmade religion, rituals and Tradition(s) of men, you will find freedom from mental and spiritual oppression.

Jesus Christ did not come for the self-righteous, but rather He came for the lost---those who are oppressed mentally and spiritually. Jesus came to set the captives' minds free from dogma and Tradition(s) of men and false religions. The Apostle Paul wrote: " But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ" (2 Corinthians 11:3).

Please repent and accept the Gift of Salvation by saying this short prayer:

"Dear Jesus, I repent of my sins and the original sin of mankind, please come into my heart and change me to trust in you and build my personal relationship with you by studying your word and applying it to my life to the best of my ability.

Thank you for dying on the cross for the remission of sin.

Thank you for conquering death with your resurrection. I accept you Jesus as my Lord and Savior, please lead me and guide me. Amen!"

John 8:31-32 (ESV)

The Truth Will Set You Free

"31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.”

If you have said the short prayer above, I welcome you to the True Body of Christ (not a sect or religious denomination).

Please get into a Bible-based church where the Word of God is taught unadulterated and reject the Tradition(s) of men. Pray, meditate upon God's Word and trust Jesus that He will guide you with His Spirit.

Hebrews 10:25 (NLT)

"And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near."

Remember, Resilience means the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties---and that you can recover by putting your faith in God and His Word...

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NLT)

16 "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right." 17 "God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work."

The easiest way to know more about God and how He has delivered countless people of faith from depression, oppression and what seemed like hopeless situations, is to read His Word, the Holy Bible. Start with the Gospel of John, and then go onto Acts chapter 2, then Romans 1---especially Romans chapter 1, verses 17-32.

Godspeed, peace and love,
Brother David Johnson, XU

P.s. There is hope! Read Acts 2:38 and 1 John 1:9

Ezekiel 36:25-27 (NIV)

25 "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities and from all your idols. 26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws."
